Dogs On Thursday

This is my second needle-felting project - a tiny Brittany spaniel for my friend and SP11, Dianne. I made it for her in memory of her sweet Mellie, who captured my heart through Dianne's blog. Dianne continues to blog about the adventures of Mellie's rascally sisters, Emma and Tara, but I know that Mellie will always hold a very special place in her heart.

As much as all of us fur-parents love our dogs, sometimes we have the privilege of owning a pet who is truly a soul-mate. And although their death is devastating, we realize what a profound impact that one animal has had on our life and the lives of those close to us.

And we realize that there are so many potential soul-mates out there - homeless - but waiting for that special person, that family to love unconditionally, for the rest of their days. All they need is some extra time and extra help in finding that family. Pets are put here to teach us about pure and unconditional love. By adopting pets through rescue organizations or animal shelters, you are giving these precious creatures an opportunity to live their purpose. If you have a love for animals, please support animal rescue in any way that you can. Nichole is trying to raise $1000 by the end of the year for the ASPCA, a very deserving organization, in case you'd like to spread some of that holiday spirit around...

Thanks for the shout out!
I saw your little felted beauty on Dianne's blog and am in awe... it is AMAZING! Beautiful and such a sweet, sweet gift for her! She was my SP11 spoiler and I'm SO happy she got just as spoiled by someone as great as you!
Now... I took that dog needle felting class and here you are making doggies that are 100 times better than mine, lol... I am definitely NOT a sculpter! ha ha

He is so adorable! I would have never guessed he was only your second try. That is another hobby I would like to try.
